MEDEYNA
Mushroom apothecary for body & mind.
Something is growing in Aukštaitija National Park.
Manifesto
Long before science had a word for longevity,
the forest already knew.
The bees of Aukštaitija National Park
made medicine in old oak hollows.
The mushrooms grew on trees older
than any government.
The goddess Medeina watched over all of it.
We don't make Medeyna.
The forest does.
We just bottle it.
03 · PLACE
Aukštaitija National Park
A national park in northeastern Lithuania: 405 square kilometres of old-growth forest, 126 lakes, and the country's highest concentration of wild bee colonies. Inside its boundaries sits the Lithuanian Museum of Ancient Beekeeping, where drevininkystė, the practice of tending wild bees in tree hollows, has been preserved since 1984. UNESCO inscribed it as Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2020.
This is where we are building the farm.
04 · WHAT'S GROWING
The first harvest
The first to come will be lion's mane. We grow it ourselves, by hand, on land we are restoring inside the park — on old oak and beech, the way the forest has always grown it.
Extracted by hand at the farm by the lake. A mushroom supplement for body and mind — for focus, for performance, for the long work of staying well.
Others will follow. They will be named when they arrive.
WE WILL WRITE WHEN EACH ONE IS READY.
